The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA) web site is intended to provide computer users with the information they need in the most up-to-date and accurate manner as possible. The information contained herein, however, is provided for the convenience of our users and in every case should be considered supplemental and secondary to RWSA's official documents.

Privacy

We do not capture personal information about any visitor to our site without their permission. We endeavor to ensure that we collect only the minimum amount of information needed to meet the purpose for which the web site was created, and to provide the service or benefit you desire. For each visitor, we may collect information about the Internet Protocol (IP) address, type browser used, the date and time of the visit, and the IP addresses of the locations to which the visitor linked during his or her visit to our web site. This information is strictly used for statistical reporting purposes and no personal information is gathered.
 
We do not sell or rent viewer information to any outside company or organization. We do not reveal specific information about viewers or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except if required to do so by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act or other law.

Links to outside Sites

The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority's provides links to many web sites that are not controlled, maintained, or regulated by the RWSA, and as such the RWSA is not responsible for the content of those web sites. Use of information obtained from those Web sites is voluntary, and reliance on that information should only be undertaken after an independent review of its accuracy. Reference at those Web sites to any specific commercial product, process, or service by trade name, trademark, or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by the RWSA. We try and screen all sites we include on our web site, but we cannot control the content they possess, thus any inappropriate information or links they have on their site, should be reported to the RWSA and can be E-mailed to Info@rivanna.org.

Sites we will allowed to be linked from the RWSA site must meet, but are not limited to, the following minimum guidelines.

• They must be free services. The site may contain advertisements and sponsor information, as long as items viewed on the page are appropriate for all ages.
• We will not accept links to sites that contain any inappropriate material, to include but not limited to; pornography, slander, hate, or bias to one group, religion, color, or creed.
