Crozet Interceptor System Pump Station Improvements Project
The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA) invites Virginia State Class A licensed contractors to bid on furnishing all labor, material and equipment for the Crozet Interceptor System Pump Station Improvements Project.
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 PM local prevailing time on July 10, 2018. At that time the bids will be opened and read aloud.
The Project will consist of the construction of isolation valves and bypass pumping connections for the Crozet Interceptor Pump Stations. Work will include the installation of an Emergency Pump Connector (EPC) and an isolation valve on the force main at the four pump stations comprising the Crozet Interceptor System. Pump Station #1 is the Route 250 Pump Station, #2 is the West Leigh Pump Station, #3 is the Mechums River Pump Station, and #4 is the Lickinghole Creek Pump Station. Compensation shall be based on prices provided in this bid.
All bidders may attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for June 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Administrative Building Conference Room at 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902. Bidders are reminded that no oral interpretations of meaning of drawings and specifications can be made. Conflicts in the Contract Documents, if any, will be resolved by written Addendum. A copy of the bid package may be examined at the RWSA, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 by appointment by calling Mr. Scott Schiller at (434) 977-2970, Ext. 206.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid. At the option of the bidder, the guarantee may be a bid bond, certified check or bank draft.
A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Prospective bidders shall furnish their contact name, complete mailing address with zip code, telephone numbers, and e-mail address. Contract documents may also be obtained as hard copies upon a non-refundable payment of $75.00 per set. Checks shall be made payable to Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc.
Neither the OWNER nor the ENGINEER will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addendum, obtained from any other source.
The RWSA reserves the right to cancel this invitation for bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities, to advertise for new bids, to proceed to do the work otherwise, or to accept the bid which in its opinion best serves the interest of the RWSA.
Pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-4318, the Authority reserves the right, in the event that the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, to negotiate with the lowest responsible bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds, which negotiations may include, but not be limited to, modifications to the scope of work, materials and equipment to be furnished, time for performance, price and other such terms as the Executive Director deems appropriate.
