Albemarle County Sponsoring Free Vegetative Disposal at Ivy MUC

Following the severe weather and subsequent flooding of Thursday, May 31, 2018, Albemarle County is sponsoring a week of free disposal of vegetative debris for County residents at the Ivy Material Utilization Center (Ivy MUC).

Starting Friday, June 1, 2018 through Saturday, June 16, 2018, the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority (RSWA) will waive the tipping fee cost for County residents dropping off storm related vegetative debris. The vegetative debris collected will be ground into mulch and available for purchase at Ivy MUC.

Debris will be accepted during normal business hours. Residents will be expected to show proof of residency and must state that the debris is storm related.
