The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace existing water valves at fourteen (14) locations with new gate valves ranging from 8-inch to 24-inch diameter and replace one (1) 1” air release valve in an existing water distribution system, including installation of required fittings, restraints and appurtenances, coordinating and assisting with temporary connections between portions of the distribution system, removing existing valves, and site restoration including pavement and turf restoration. The work shall include all that is necessary to render the facilities complete and operational. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 until 4:00 pm local prevailing time, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. At that time, the bids will be opened and read aloud.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the office of the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 at 10:00 am local prevailing time, on Monday, November 19, 2018.
The Project Manual for the above project may be obtained from the office of the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902. No partial sets of the drawings and/or Project Manual will be issued. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained in .pdf format free of charge by contacting Ms. Bridgit G. Physical copies of the Contract Documents may also be obtained upon a non-refundable payment of $30.00 per set. Checks shall be made payable to Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority.
