At the October Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) Board meeting, approval was granted for RWSA to enter into a contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. (HDR) in the amount of $343,777. The scope of work includes three phases of work as follow:

Sediment Characterization
Reservoir Characterization Public Meeting
PHASE II: Dredging Alternatives Analysis
Dredging Alternatives Evaluation
Dewatering/Processing Alternatives Evaluation
Dredging Analysis Public Meeting
PHASE III: Dredging Feasibility Summary Report
Completed Summary Report
HDR will be conducting field operations on the reservoir during the months of November and December, with a final report due by June 2010.
