“Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, hereinafter called the Owner, in the Administration Building at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m. (local prevailing time) on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at which time they will be securely stored until bid opening. Bids will be accepted by mail or by drop off in the labeled box at the Administration Building which will be placed outside at approximately 3:55PM. Bid opening will occur on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 4:00 PM (local prevailing time), using the teleconference service Microsoft Teams, for the furnishing of all labor and materials needed to perform and complete the following:”
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: In general, the Work of the Project can be described as the demolition of existing, partially buried, concrete storage basins, removal of buried piping, and the demolition of ancillary structures.

The foregoing descriptions shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Bidders will be allowed to visit the project sites as requested. Site visits are recommended but are not mandatory. All visits shall be coordinated through Owner’s contact, Austin Marrs at 434.977.2970 ext. 164 or amarrs@rivanna.org.
A non-mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, online via GoTo Meeting. Log-in information for the GoTo Meeting and a meeting agenda will be made available by addendum prior to the pre-bid conference. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be available to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.
The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. If any updates to bid opening dates, times, or mediums are necessitated, these changes will be made via Addendum.
