Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority, hereinafter called the OWNER, in the Administration Building Conference Room at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time on December 3, 2020 and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
The RSWA is interested in soliciting Unit Price bids for the harvest of a 40 year old, plus or minus, loblolly pine plantation located at their Ivy Material Utilization Center (Ivy MUC) located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia The selected bidder will provide all labor, equipment, materials, insurance, fees, and permits to complete the work.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.
Pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-4318, the Authority reserves the right, in the event that the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, to negotiate with the lowest responsible bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds, which negotiations may include, but not be limited to, modifications to the scope of work, materials and equipment to be furnished, time for performance, price and other such terms as the Executive Director deems appropriate.
Pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-4324, Bid results shall be subject to the Preference for Virginia Firms stipulation.

Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed or national origin. The Authority reserves the right to disapprove any subcontractor, supplier, vendor, surety or insurer proposed by a bidder for this Project for good cause shown.
