Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, hereinafter called the OWNER, in the Administration Building at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time on November 2, 2021 and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud (virtually at the sole discretion of RWSA) for the following:
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Includes all work needed to decommission the hydropower plant in accordance with the Contract Documents to include the following major components: demolition of select electrical, mechanical and other hydropower related components; replacement of a 72” intake (slide) gate; rehabilitation of plant work spaces; and modifications to the hydropower conduit and powerhouse. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.
Digital image copies of the Bidding Documents will be made available to prospective bidders via an online Office 365 Sharepoint site. Information contained within the Bidding Documents has been identified as Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) and as a result a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will need to be executed to gain access. Following execution of the NDA, a specific link to the site where the documents may be downloaded will be provided to the bidder upon request. An optional virtual pre-bid conference will be held on October 5, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. to review the scope of work and clarify any aspect of the work that may be in question.
