Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: TERM CONTRACT FOR GROUP DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE RFP #20-05

The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority is seeking a term contract with qualified providers of EMPLOYEE GROUP DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE.

Proposals will be received by OneDigital Benefits Consultants until 4:00 p.m. local time, April 1, 2020.  Proposals may be either mailed, hand delivered, or express mailed to: 215 Wayles Lane, Ste. 175 Charlottesville, VA 22911, Attn: Roger Higgins.

REQUEST FOR BID for Albemarle-Berkeley Wastewater Pump Station Storage Basin Demolition: RFB NO. 365

Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, hereinafter called the Owner, in the Administration Building at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m. (local prevailing time) on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor and materials needed to perform and complete the following:

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: In general, the Work of the Project can be described as the demolition of existing, partially buried, concrete storage basins, removal of buried piping, and the demolition of ancillary structures.

The foregoing descriptions shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Bidders will be allowed to visit the project sites as requested. Site visits are recommended but are not mandatory. All visits shall be coordinated through Owner’s contact, Austin Marrs at 434.977.2970 ext. 164 or amarrs@rivanna.org.

A non-mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, online via GoTo Meeting.  Log-in information for the GoTo Meeting and a meeting agenda will be made available by addendum prior to the pre-bid conference.  Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be available to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.

The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic.  If any updates to bid opening dates, times, or mediums are necessitated, these changes will be made via Addendum.

Rivanna Solid Waste Authority

REQUEST FOR BID FOR IVY MUC CONVENIENCE CENTER RECYCLING CONTAINERS: RFB NO. 366

Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority, hereinafter called the OWNER, in the Administration Building Conference Room at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time on April 22, 2020 and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:

Recycling Containers:  Includes provision of seven (7) 25-cubic yard recycling containers to be used at the Ivy Convenience Center (ICC) located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. Each container should be 20-cubic yard rectangle roll-off container with recycling hip roof (25-cubic yard recycler).  Container is to be equipped with: six (6) plastic sliding doors measuring 30 inches by 30 inches (three (3) doors per side); hook lift pick up only with 2.5-inch diameter by 61.75-inch hook height; no cable hook or front ground rollers; do not fit with container dividers.  The bid price per container is to include any and all costs including labor, materials and delivery.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion.  The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.

Pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-4318, the Authority reserves the right, in the event that the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, to negotiate with the lowest responsible bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds, which negotiations may include, but not be limited to, modifications to the scope of work, materials and equipment to be furnished, time for performance, price and other such terms as the Executive Director deems appropriate.

Pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-4324, Bid results shall be subject to the Preference for Virginia Firms stipulation.

Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed or national origin.  Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order #11246, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin, and Executive Order #12138 and #11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms.  Bidders must comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Authority reserves the right to disapprove any subcontractor, supplier, vendor, surety or insurer proposed by a bidder for this Project for good cause shown.
