Charlottesville and Albemarle County, VA – Once again the City of Charlottesville, the Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA), and Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) is participating in the second annual “Imagine a Day without Water,” a national campaign to educate and inspire the community about the value and importance of water in our everyday lives! If we had to guess, we’d say that nearly every household in our community probably contains paint containers either old or new that folks would like to properly dispose of.  In the past RSWA’s Fall or Spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days has been the only option — and usually a popular and time-consuming one! Successful Odor Control Kickoff

Friday, July 15th Rivanna hosted an Odor Control Kickoff at Riverview Park for local officials, media, and neighbors.  We shared the good news that our contractors have mobilized their equipment and construction is beginning!  We also heard from City Councilor Kathy Galvin, Board of Supervisor Rick Randolph, Rivanna Solid Waste Authority Board Chair, and Woolen Mills President John Frazee.
