BID FOR SOUTHERN ALBEMARLE CONVENIENCE CENTER – RFB NO. 396
The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority (Owner) seeks BIDS for the construction of the Southern Albemarle Convenience Center. Sealed BIDS will be received by the Owner at the Administration Building Conference Room at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility, 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 (Issuing Office), no later than Thursday May 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM and then at said office be publicly read aloud for the following:
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: The project proposes to construct a convenience center in southern Albemarle County on Esmont Road in Keene. Work will include clearing/grubbing, earthwork, paving, landscaping, fencing, electrical, and installation of a bioretention basin installation. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Procure of the containers, compactors, and attendant shed will be under a separate contract. Total area of disturbance is approximately 1.75 Acres.
BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be obtained electronically from the Draper Aden Associates website, https://daa.com/planroom/. Inquiries regarding help obtaining the BIDDING DOCUMENTS should be directed to Beth Davis at bdavis@daa.com. There will not be any locations to view the plans in person or to purchase hard copies of the documents. Inquiries regarding the BIDDING DOCUMENTS (plans and specifications) must be provided in writing on the form provided in the project manual and directed to Campbell Bolton, PE, Project Manager, Draper Aden Associates at cbolton@daa.com. Questions will be accepted through Thursday April 28, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. and will be responded to via an addendum by Friday April 29, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
A non-mandatory, virtual Pre-Bid Conference will be held Wednesday April 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
