Sealed Bids will be received by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, hereinafter called the OWNER, in the Administration Building at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility (MCAWRRF), 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time on February 3, 2022, and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: This PROJECT will rehabilitate existing sanitary sewers and manholes throughout the Owner’s service area. This Contract will be primarily used to repair sewer system defects that are allowing substantial rainwater and ground water (inflow and infiltration) into the sewer system. In addition, this Contract will focus on the repair of significant structural defects that are causing re-occurring maintenance issues. Work may include installation of cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) in sanitary sewers, installation of cementitious mortar coating in existing manholes, replacement of existing manhole frame and covers, other miscellaneous manhole rehabilitation work as necessary, and all preparatory work such as cleaning and television inspection.
Digital image copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at no charge by contacting the Owner or Engineer’s representatives shown below. Paper copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Frazier Engineering, P.A. located at 6592 Bob White Trail, Stanley, North Carolina, 28164, upon payment of $100 (non-refundable). Return of the documents is not required and the amount paid for the documents is not refundable. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Bidders will be allowed to visit the project sites as requested. An optional pre-bid conference will be held virtually on January 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm via the online meeting service, Microsoft Teams, to review the scope of work and clarify any aspect of the work that may be in question.
